Bitwise, a global leader with 30 years of enterprise data expertise, was building Fulkrum Migration Agent, a state-of-the-art SaaS platform that brings intelligent automation to data modernisation at scale. Capable of delivering 90% migration accuracy and up to 40% faster execution, the platform needed to make a technically complex, multi-stage process feel manageable and precise for enterprise data teams.
The design challenge was significant: how do you take a platform that automates ETL conversion, dependency mapping, and deployment validation across cloud environments, and make it feel intuitive, not overwhelming, for the people who depend on it daily?

The product design was built around Fulkrum's core three-stage modernisation framework, Sense, Forge, and Surge, translating each phase into a clear, controlled user experience that gave teams visibility and confidence at every step of the migration journey.
The platform needed to surface real complexity, workload discovery, automated code conversion, validation and deployment, without ever letting that complexity leak into the interface. Every workflow, dashboard, and status view was designed to reduce cognitive load, surface the right information at the right moment, and keep enterprise users firmly in command of their modernisation journey.
Onboarding & setup flows
Guided onboarding experiences that brought new enterprise users into the platform quickly, configuring environments, connecting data sources, and initiating migration assessments without friction.
Migration dashboards
Real-time dashboards giving users a command-centre view of their modernisation progress, tracking workload discovery, conversion accuracy, and deployment readiness across environments.

The Fulkrum Migration Agent launched as a fully designed, enterprise-ready platform, debuting at FABCON 2026, the largest Microsoft Fabric conference globally, where Bitwise presented as a Gold Sponsor. The platform's interface gave enterprise stakeholders, from CTOs to data engineering leads, an immediate sense of precision and command, making a technically formidable product feel genuinely usable.
By designing around the three-stage framework, the product experience directly reinforced Fulkrum's core promise: a controlled, predictable modernisation journey, with no surprises from first workload to final deployment.
